Samsung will soon have three Android tablets to their names. First the company launched the7″ Galaxy Tab in 2010, and recently they had announced the 10.1″ Galaxy Tab 10.1 and now the Korean tech giant will announce the 8.9″ Galaxy Tab 8.9 at CTIA 2011.
New information brought out today has proven that the 10.1″ Tab won’t be the only Honeycomb tablet Samsung will offer the 8.9″ Tab will also have the OS albeit with customizations.
Ahead of the 8.9″ Tab’s announcement Samsung has done a lot of teases, first with a graphic and after that with a promo video. But a new intentional or unintentional tease has exposed the 8.9″ Tab’s features and Pocketnow has managed to snap some photos. Below you will see two photos of information that has been left unattended by Samsung at CTIA.
The exposed specifications, to save you the trouble of eye squinting, are as follows. The new Tab will have an 8.9″ WXGA (1280×800 pixels), a 1GHz Dual-Core processor, Dual Antenna Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 50Hz), 8.6mm thin, 470g weight, Samsung UX overlay on top of Honeycomb and a ‘Mini Apps Tray’ with support for 6 mini app functions for multi-tasking purposes.
