muvee unveils HD video solutions for Android

muvee is going for the Android users with its new suite of HD video editing tools for Google’s platform. The company is demonstrating the offering at the CTIA in hope to get some handset maker or operator on board. From what I’ve understood, muvee’s apps won’t be available directly for download — rather, they want to struck a deal with a handset makers to pre-load their mobile application(s), thus offering better out-of-box value to the user.
In total, muvee offers nine features that can be used to build separate applications or be licensed separately. Alternatively, there’s the option for a complete video editing application (available immediately).
Among the features offered we find:
  • Trim and Join – enable users to cut out selected parts of the video and join any number of videos of the same type and resolution together. Additionally, users can join images, place a music track as background, record a voice-over message over the video, and so on.
  • Image and Text Overlay – allows for simple branding of videos and video blogging entries.
  • Time-warp features like Slow Motion and Fast Motion, enable users to create “new experiences” with the videos that they have shot.
